The Cemetery of the Martyred Companions مقبره شهدائ صØابه (Taf_02)

East of the Abdullah ibn Abbas Masjid lies the Cemetery of the Martyrs, a small yet historically significant site. After the Battle of Hunayn, the Prophet ï·º and his companions — including Abu Bakr, Umar, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with them) — came to Taif to invite Banu Thaqif to Islam. At a barren site, now the location of the Masjid, the Prophet ï·º led the siege. Eleven companions were martyred by enemy arrows and were buried there, marking the place now known as the Cemetery of the Martyrs.
