Masjid Abdullah ibn Abbas (r.a.) مسجد عبدالله ابن عباس (Taf_01)

<p>This historic masjid in Taif marks the site where the Prophet Muhammad <span dir="RTL">ï·º</span> camped for about three weeks during the siege of Banu Thaqeef after the Battle of Hunain. Along with his <span dir="RTL">ï·º</span> tent, two tents were pitched for his wives. Later, a masjid was built here. Abdullah ibn Abbas (r.a.), the great scholar and cousin of the Prophet <span dir="RTL">ï·º</span>, is also buried at this site. His blessed resting place is now protected by an iron enclosure.</p>
